Got mine booked in to Shrewsbury Audi for July 14th, earliest date with a courtesy car which will probably again be a woeful Q3

Does anyone know if Audi changes the oil in the procedure? I need an oil service and it would be very handy if Audi do that as part of the fix!
Thanks

I have my car booked in at Derby Audi in July. After a few conversations with the service department, the cost of the oil and filter is on Audi and will be deducted from the cost of the service.

However they did originally try and say it would be chargeable as part of the service!

Thanks, both, for the advice! That credit should be good for half a tank of fuel!

I’ve just had Whetstone Audi cancel my booking for this work as they can’t get the parts and said it is company wide so prepare to be cancelled 😡

Heard this also. I have been lucky as the recall was added on the day I took my car in for other work and they ordered the part straight away, which arrived yesterday and they are honouring the work. Due to trouble getting the part across the dealer network they are having to cancel bookings

My Audi dealer is oblivious. Audi uk were also useless. They said there was a recall that they could see on the government website but had no details and said the local dealer should know what is going on.

Mine was in for it this week and other work…. Got this back:

“ The recall we spoke about on your car has been postponed by Audi until the 4th July due to the parts being unavailable.”

So back in then for another week I guess… or whenever they have a loan car!

Just an update my RS6 broke down just over a week ago, cutting out, miss firing, EPC light on. Got the car recovered to the Audi Indy I use & they confirmed suspected turbo failure due to the oil strainer being blocked. It is a standard 2016 RS6 with 43k on the clock. Audi UK had the car taken to a main dealer for inspection & further tests which I am awaiting the results on.
Audi UK have confirmed there was a recall but it was postponed due lack of parts, no loan car offered or any assistance. I am now gearing up for a battle with them as they have been most unhelpful & are indicating that they will address this under their goodwill policy

Sorry to hear this. Does make me wonder what condition my turbos are in seeing as mine is a standard 2016 but with 70k on the clock

Also - push Audi UK and get your dealer to push them too as you might be quite surprised at what they can do. Before the RS6, I had an A6 allroad that had timing chain issues and was looking at an 8k repair bill, luckily after some pushing Audi UK stumped up the majority of the repair bill. As Audi have finally taken note of this problem I think you would stand a greater chance of getting this sorted without too much pain on your wallet

Been to Milton keynes this morning for the recall to also be told it has been put on hold pending further investigation by Audi. As it was also booked , not by me , in for an MMI update they did'nt think to ring me adivse the the recall was cancelled.

So maybe check if you have your car booked in to save a wasted journey.

took a look at the paper work and it looks like it had the work down as a four hour job .

Just a quick follow up on my car. Audi UK have confirmed a recall but apparantley it doesn't cover my car. It only applies to a handful of RS6 & RS7 with the oil strainers made by a certain manufacturer, which doesnt make sense. So now after a week of diagnostics Audi have requested the spark plugs be changed as they were due so no issue there, but they are no stating it could be the fuel injectors. What are the chances of 4 fuel injectors all failing at the same time? Problem being its an engine out job to change them so thats about 4K in labour alone + whatever parts costs.
Looks like I will be massively out of pocket at the end of this.
