Does anyone know this car please - HJ18 ZDT

Interested in this but it doesn't look like an extended warranty can be given due to the Maxton kit which is a little off putting

I found that any modifications stopped a car being sold through Audi Approved, and they ended up being sold outside of this programme as a direct sale with independent warranty.

I had two 'fail' on being remapped, while trying to purchase.

Thats pretty much what ive been told although I cant see why its so difficult to remove the Maxton kit and sell the car through the programme otherwise why am I paying a premium to purchase through a main dealer?

IN addition, Im not sure I trust "independent" warranty and would much rather have the car under the Audi extended warranty programme for piece of mind

I think it’s purely cost, and a condition from Audi to underwrite the warranty.

I found it very difficult to buy an Audi Approved one, as so many failed the MPC. When I lost one (which had been remapped) the dealer told me how frustrated they get, and how much they need to invest to make the grade conditions. They just prefer to ship lots of TDi’s, and not have the hassle.

Completely agree, which is why I did. Had an RS7 from independent before, and had so many issues, I returned it!!

Mate it was shocking

It only came to light when I said I wanted the extended Audi warranty.

I’ve been on the hunt since December, this was dream spec.

Only when it came down to paperwork did it come to light that it’d been mapped.

Walked away at that point

Interestingly I have just purchased this car with absolutely no mention of a remap! however I had it booked in for one long before I even picked up so will be interesting to see exactly what they achieved.
Ps it will not be staying anywhere near standard for any amount of time!

Keep us informed of what it currently is and what you end up achieving

Same.

When it came down to paperwork the warranty said JCT600 warranty.

I queried it and the sales manager called me back, which I thought was weird.

Then proceeded to tell me ‘it may have been remapped’ it either has or hasn’t.

Seems like they actively tried to keep it under the radar.

No issue for you if you were going to map it anyway
