Hi guys,

Probably been asked before but I'm in a mad rush. Had my C7 almost two years and I've only used V-Power to fill up. I'm concerned now that I won't be able to get any with the tanker driver shortages and I don't have enough in the tank to go searching around. What is the minimum grade (RON) I can safely use without causing any issues please?

Absolutely fine. Have a look on the inside of your fuel filler. It says 95ron minimum which is normal unleaded. Just go back to super unleaded at the next opportunity

Thanks guys, I thought 98/99 but it does say 95 minimum on the fuel cap. Absolutely no fuel available anywhere near me at the moment though so I'm stuck at home with the Mrs.

Just to confirm guys,

My warranty wouldn't be invalid if I use 95 RON as it states it's the minimum requirement in the filler cap?

You could always put normal unleaded in with an octane booster if you are worried about it

Managed to get to station with Esso Supreme + 99 RON so got £35.00. Relieved.

I do wonder if they changed the rule to let you fill up to max it would ease the panic a bit?
