New pad & discs

Post by HDPete » Mon Aug 16, 2021 7:54 pm

Hi

Had advisories that I need new pads and disks soon. Is there a consensus for aftermarket brand and suppliers and rough idea of cost all round?

Been quoted £2.3k all in with genuine. Was expecting nearer £3k so may investigate upgrade options. Any suggestions or experience with EBC?

Do you actually need new discs and pads?

In Oct 2020 Audi cam said over 80% worn need replacing for your safety.

In Aug 2021 Adi cam said less than 50% worn, all good.

Long live Audi regenerative braking!

I even have the videos but they’re too big too post here.

I’ll certainly get a 2nd opinion, but I do trust our MOT tester as we have been friends for years…. It could be telling… :)
