Fault found

Guys anyone ever come across this before or know what it might be???
My EPC light comes on for a split second then off again at the same time the rev needle settings around to 8000rpm then back again. Engine light has since come on.
It's very sporadic so nothing specific to make it happen. Could drive for 5mins or an hour and it might only happen once or not at all.
Running stage 2 Celtic tune.
