Hi all,
I'm starting the search for a facelift C7 RS6, which I will need to be able to regularly tow a little racing car.
I'm aware that to tow legally, I'll need one with air suspension, however I'm getting a bit confused with Dynamic pack and DRC when I'm looking at cars.
Some say they have the "Dynamic Pack' but are on Air. I had just presumed Dynamic Pack meant they have DRC? Are these 2 separate things which are not mutually exclusive?
Can someone please help to clear it up?
Is there a way to easily tell if the car is on air or not so when I'm calling / messaging sellers I can make sure it will be right before traveling to view cars? The only thing I can think of is asking them to send a photo of the Sticker in the door shut that tells you the towing capacity, which should be 0 on DRC cars I think...
Thanks in advance.

Dynamic or Dynamic plus means DRC. You can tell if on air from mmi drive select screen. If upper left corner says ‘raise’ that means its on air suspension.

It's not just the type approval to tow that the DRC cars don't have....
The DRC gubbins occupies the area where the tow bar attaches to the chasis.
There may be a work around, but the factory tow bar physically can't be fitted to a DRC car.

Better to find a car with air and a stowable towbar fitted already

Hi , I managed to install a towbar on my RS6 with dynamic plus package, complicated but doable.
I can't tow though but I use it for the bike rack
