Hello,
Have some spare tpms sensors, some dated 2014 some 2013, do they still can work on my new rims? I read some information that tpms sensors also have limitations in age or it’s rumors?

Battery life is stated as 10 years, IIRC. I doubt the battery is replaceable but you can see for yourself, I guess.

You can replace the battery, You are not supposed to as they are sealed but you can prise them open. The last i did had CR2450 button batteries with a solder tab on. You will need to epoxy the case back together afterwards

So it’s only open and put new batteries this is a procedure?

They have to be prised open so probably not a procedure, but it is possible to do them and epoxy them back together, if you have an old one to try with first you will see what i mean. They do not need recoding or setting up afterwards either

I didnt tested them as I sold my rims and now I have only summer rims that I use them for winter and summer, so logically those tpms sensors are useless
