Carwow rs6 generation race

Post by alexrs6plus » Sun Apr 18, 2021 11:02 pm

Hi guys, not sure If this had been posted yet.
The latest carwow race is between all the generations of rs6, but in the video he claims it's a c7 performance, something looks a bit off to me with it though.
Thought the earliest of production of the performance c7 was only on a 16 plate, can't remember if Eddie's was 65 or 16 plate. It also has standard 20 rims and chrome trim ( which I know you can select ithese options even on performance models). I may be wrong but if this car is a standard version it's a missed opportunity and quite a big mistake from carwow giving out wrong info.

Yep that C7 reg doesn't come up as a PE so its a stock 560bhp car.
Still a fair comparison as a PE C7 should really be compared to a PE C8.

That is true, but I was still hoping to see the performance version vs the c8 due to the pricing as well 😉

As an owner of a stock (560PS) C7 I was very pleased to see “old tech” giving the new boy a good fight, despite being 40PS down.
It’s disappointing that CarWow got the stats wrong at the beginning of the video, but it would have probably been even more embarrassing (for Audi) if it was a C7 performance as it would have most likely have given the C8 a really good view of its rear!!!

Maybe Audi didn't want to show that the c7 performance model would of been a lot closer or maybe even of beaten the new c8. Wouldn't be good for business maybe 😉

Not performance version? But in a video he said it’s performance version with 600 hp

100% not a performance version. Big mistake from carwow, doesn't make them reputable if they can't tell a stock version from a performance version.

A mistake from Matt Watson for sure, not so sure you can question carwow’s reputation though.

Also, it’s mentioned the C7 in question is privately owned. If the owner said it was the PE why would he be doubted?

Could’ve just been a slip of the tongue too!

Seems that Carwow actually knows not much about cars industry then if they make such stupid mistakes, owner should definitely need some learning courses

I know, I like Matt Watson and carwow too. Just gutted for the missed opportunity as been waiting for a while to see a race between a c8 and a performance editon c7. I'm a bit of a kid like that 🙈
Wonder if the owner is on the forum
