Athers , I strongly recomend to ask them to look at the turbos. Sticking oil scraper ring causes missfires. And by post I see that Your problem is very similar mines.

No good at all, aspecially when 3k km trip is planed for next week. Good news if it's allready happened I will go for TTE 800 upgrade turbos. But anyway biggest problem that turbos are the result of the problem. We need to find out who coused this issue after such a short time.l. But by words of the dealer it's quit ussual when turbos does not last more then 50k km in stage 2.
True story, when car is moded everything tears quicker

So it turns out that it WAS the spark plugs.

Quite frankly why it takes them 3 weeks and 5 hours of diagnosis time to work out that it’s faulty plugs causing a misfire is beyond me.

Anyway I got them to remove the diagnostic charges from the bill on the basis that plugs should be the first thing you check when the car is misfiring.

So she’s back and on the drive - minus the RS grill badge when I had them remove when they took the front off the replace the thermostat housing,
