Hi guys, hope you all had a nice safe Christmas.

Weird that Carplay has just stopped functioning on my iPhone SR. Had no service, MMI updates etc but it now just won't connect. It was working perfectly on Saturday but now it won't activate. When I select Activate Apple Carplay it says it's activated but no Carplay logo when my phone connects and nothing loads. I have 'forgotten this device' in Telephone settings within MMI and deleted the device in my iPhone settings but nothing. Rebooted the MMI and phone but still nothing. Annoying as I have become really used to it now.

Any thoughts why it would just drop off please?

not the same forum,but I have a C8 Vorsprung and I have had constant hassle with Carplay.
Since you have tried just about everything,here are 2 other suggestions.
Have you downloaded the latest IOS since Saturday, I did it about 8 weeks ago and it knocked everything out,before that it worked perfectly.
Have you got Mobile Data on or off on your phone,Carplay I've discovered will not play if your data is turned off,unless you have downloaded
the music onto your phone.
I have a permanent message on the MMI screen saying there is a problem with Apple Carplay but if I go into Library it plays fine,the dealer
doesn't know how to get rid of it.
At least you have a CD player in your C7,they got rid of it in the C8 !!!

Still not done that update and not altered my data settings for years. To be honest it’s not really music I use that much but more for Waze.

Just odd that no changes to car or phone settings but it’s disappeared.

Try a new cable..

Mine stopped working when I updated to 14.2 not an RS anymore, but affected a shed load of other makes too.

Found out from a number of other forums, it had stopped working as I had assistive touch turned on. Turned it off (settings, accessibility) and voila - no more issues with car play.

Tried 3 cables already (2 brand new) and nothing. Assistive Touch is switched off .

If i understand you, you can connect phone with mmi so you have internet on mmi?

Yep phone is connecting to mmi without issue and Carplay is active but won’t connect.

I didnt know that optin exist on my rs6 )) can you teach me steps?

Rebooted phone and MMI again and all working.

I think you need to have adapter (Apple CarPlay) if I am correct I am not sure, try search in here or google it

No need for an adapter. 14.2 fine for me. I just have a comedy situation where I have to plug the phone in BEFORE I start the car and then hurriedly start it or the carplay won't activate. I.e if I start the car THEN plug the phone in it randomly won't connect. But hey ho.

But importantly your RS6 needs to be post 2016, performance and non, to have CarPlay.
