Changing coil packs guide

Post by Asian Panda » Thu Dec 17, 2020 1:06 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone have a guide as to how to change coil packs on a C7/C7.5?

I'm about to tackle this at the weekend but wanted to see if anyone had a 'how to' guide.

Thanks

hey so you can buy an hour online with the erwin system (erwin.audi.com)

costs about 8 euro, and you can download the specific service PDFs for your car

its a bit fiddly to get the coils out, but not a huge job. took me about 60 minutes to change all the plugs a few months ago.

oh and a few s6/s7/s8/rs7 videos from the us cover it as well - something like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVfV6Ts2lJI

Cheers bud.

Did you buy and follow that guide yourself?

60mins isn't too bad, but will watch that video at least a dozen times to make sure I know what I'm doing.

hey

I used the stuff from erwin, and looked at a video or two just to make sure I knew what everything looked like. I will say, tolerances are tight, so there isnt much room when everything is "out of the way" but its works fine.

are you changing the plugs too while its all apart?

Hi mate,

No plugs were only changed just less than 500 miles ago.

I'm only changing 4 coil packs for the moment probably cylinder 5-8. Things ain't cheap.
