Dyno Spectrum DS1 - any opinions?

Post by tmg » Fri Nov 27, 2020 11:37 am

Hey

so anyone used dyno spectrum DS1's product?

some decent feedback on the US forums for the 4.0 tt engine, and is a UK based company

I dont have a local tuner that specialises in RS stuff near me, so this looks interesting, and having used MHD for some BMW stuff before, ecosystems like this tend to grow well if they actually work

I run it on my S6. Agaisnt Apr i found it was just better supported and at the time gave you more options having the 4 different stages there ready to be used with the appropriate supporting mods vs having to buy another file from apr.

The back ground support and team that run it literally can't do enough to help you. John from dynospectrum is a great guy and always offers advice on how to use the DS2 software side yourself so if you are comfortable tuning your own you can add and change base bits yourself with support of the knowledge.

Also should you want to go the custom tune route in the future it can be done remotely and changes can be made live while in the car and testing to get the best from your car.

Its a great bit of kit for a very good price when you include everything else it offers.

I've taken a better look at this in the last week or so, and it looks even more interesting.

basically its a tuning platform with some good off the shelf tunes, and wide community of tuners that will provide specific maps for engine and gearbox for pretty much any setup on the car. quite cool indeed!

I'm going to leave mine stock for the moment, as mine is a perf edition, and not huge gains to be had over stock but definitely if I do go down a more tuned route, this will be the way to go i think.
