Team
Has any one had any issues with the oil strainer, had it replaced/ removed or have any stories to share, please?
Just doing some research on the engine before committing, this worries me but it could just be internet rumours.
One example from our friends across the pond:

Many thanks in advance

Strange that Audi makes such idiotic mistakes and later you have problems to follow...

It is worrying, I would have thought this filter is a serviceable item and as such should be accessible. Don't wont my intended purchase to become a money pit. Eventually I would have thought it will clog up.

If I were you I would go to Audi and show printed version of this

I though that at Audi works real engineers but now I am thinking otherwise

Yeah that was my car. Pretty sad as the car was like new and very well cared for as far as I could tell. Who knows why the screen gets clogged?? Does not letting the car cool down after a run cause issues?? Again, no idea. Strange why some block and some dont.
If I were to buy another RS6/7 the oil screen would be the first thing I would change. Not a 2 min job though and costly if you don’t DIY

Any updates?
None from me, I've not got a V8 TT yet. Just doing research, still searching for a car.
