RS6 Active Cruise Problems

Post by sammi_s » Wed Aug 05, 2020 1:16 pm

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a 2014 C7 RS6, got the car for good value. Had the car compression tested and leak down and that was perfect so I bought the car as it was mechanically excellent but have some fault codes with one MAJOR MAJOR problem, my Adaptive cruise control and Brake guard fault comes on the dash and does not work and I have tried the following:

- Connected a new cable from the image processor to the camera and nothing, the code still comes up.

- Replaced the camera with another used camera, still nothing the code still comes up (a new camera is 15 days order and super expensive in UAE)

Other issues:

Address BA:
1294 - Actuator 1 for Drivetrain Mounts

Address 46: Central Conv. (J393)
01134 - Alarm Horn (H12)

Please guys any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would say its the connections on the actual plugs from the camera to the module, recheck those as there have been issues in the past with the pins actually making a good connection.

Which pins ? Only one I know of is the image cable from the camera to the processor and that cable I tried a brand new one didn’t work.

Tried a used camera with the new cable didn’t work.

Next point would be to check the J851 image processing module. Check the earth points and video connector plug and see if you can get a used one to eliminate that from the issue.

Just wants to update.

The ACC is perfect had the camera and cable replaced, works perfect over a month now. Had to get a new camera from dealer as most used camera working work and the imaging processor was working well as I had communication with through VCDS.

I only have two codes left which I know what they are and the mount waiting on 034 to launch there’s as the OEM one will continue to fail quickly.

And the alarm horn don’t really bother me haha.
