I've got Scott on my IG. Just haven't properly spoke to him lol
I was running the VP racing booster on every tank but that was becoming VERY expensive, prior to that it was the Lucus racing.
Yea Davy at torque tronix is quite rude and I know Gavin at blackline quite well. He was the one did all my work from exhaust to remap.
There's a company in Scotland, Infinit Performance, does a lot and are closer to the boat in terms of distance.

I went the opposite with the bangs. I'd say my car in dynamic is very obnoxious but civil in comfort.

Lol you're Simon then? I've heard you chased the noise and got there in the end lol.
I love the roar from mine, ive the same exhaust as you and I've unplugged the valves so Comfort in manual sounds epic..... rev it right out especially round lisburn, echoes like mad.
Its the bangs on slowing down. They're excessive to say the least.
Mrc is in Falkirk so 1.5hrs from Stranraer.
Gavins putting new coil packs in mine today, the car was still using the originals from 2013. Hopefully the dyno day next month goes ahead, see what mu stage 2 is doing

Yup I'm Simon. How did you know? Lol
Yea was a lot of trial and error... 4 different remaps for more pops and bangs but decided to stick with the obnoxious map. Let off and you can still hear the pops and bangs 50m down the road lol would love to get it on the Dyno and see what the true numbers are. I reckon; it should be around 720ish.
I'm turbo back, non res with sports cats and stage2 map and using an octane booster since we only get 97 at the pumps over here.
You driving a C7?
Maybe meet up some time.

Yeah def, there was meant to be a dyno day on the 10th Oct at Autotune with the audi club but the numbers weren't met so its in the air whether its still going ahead. I can say to Marky youd be interested if you want?? One more would help
I've decided to not bring my car back to mrc, I'm really not happy with the after sales service considering I paid nearly 3.5k for their stage 2 map and gearbox map. Not including the exhaust and transporter fees. I follow Simon Bevan who owns Bevo tuning who gets food results from the rs6 (look on you tube)and he has a dealer network throughout the UK. One in Glasgow, Garage R so going over to get a Bevo stage 2 in.
I live 2 mins from Blackline just down the Moira Rd, be cool to meet up and get a run out, see how they compare lol. Its booked in with Gavin again this Wed to get lowered. Money money money lol

£3.5k is a lot to not get any kind of helpful after sales. This was why I stayed local. Davy at torque tronix did my SQ5 but trying to get hold of him was a nightmare, so I ended up at blackline.
Still, going over to the main land is still an expensive tune up when you weigh up the cost of boat, transporters etc. But if that's what you want to do who am I to say anything lol
Yea I'd be up for a Audi dyno day. Would love to see the numbers or lack of.
I've factory air so Gavin fitted the milltek air module which is IMO is every bit as good as a full £5+ air fitting.
Yea give me a shout could even meet you at Gavin's.

I'm on IG 'asianpandasi' 👍🏼

The rolling road day is going ahead. I've asked Marky if you'd need to pay a deposit via PayPal for a spot, we all did. Im waiting on him replying.
Did gavin map your gearbox when you got the tune?
I'm not on i.g unfortunately 😕

How much was the deposit and when was he thinking?

Gearbox I think is still standard, didn't see point in mapping it as I've no intention of tracking. He still needs to remove the rev and speed limiters. So will need to speak to him about those as he was meant to do it previously, again I'm in no rush.
Lol I've no FB

As far as I'm aware for any stage 2 map on these the gearbox needs mapped to allow for the torque, its def better with the revs lifted to 7k, especially in manual.
Today fortnight (10/10/20) is the rolling Road, he never replied to me so I'd come along, I think the cost is £50 or something. Id like to have the car retuned by then

Wasn't aware of that??? But definitely having the rev limiter removed does help.
Can you keep me posted with rolling road day? I should be ok to get away that day.
Auto tune; are they in Ballymena?

I checked this site and they have lots of good options for an octane booster. I had to use one for mine last month https://www.czokbrand.com/blog/best-octane-booster/
That's a good read mate.

I came to a conclusion to refrain from using the octane booster and just run clean.
The Audi specialist I spoke to said that the only real issue with using octane booster is that you will need to change your plugs a lot sooner than usual; like 4000-5000 miles sooner.

I think these are great for Dyno and track days a like but now I think I'm happy to run on fuel alone.
