I plugged in my VCDS yesterday to do an Auto Scan of DTCs for a fuel pump related issue. I did nothing more than have a look around and didn’t change or save anything.

Today, I’m getting the ACC and Brake Guard not available.

Any ideas why this could have happened and is there a next step to try? I.e clear codes etc to reset things?

Maybe your battery is a little low after doing the scan assuming you didn't start the engine whilst scanning.

Ah! Good thinking. That’s highly likely as the car has been standing for 3 weeks as well. I’ll get it on charge. Should it then sort itself out or do I need to reset the DTC? Thanks.

Yes reset them. It wont harm anything
