Rattling Miltek valves

I’m being driven mad by my Miltek non res back box

The flaps rattle like mad when at very low revs like coasting to a junction and it sounds <beep>.

I’ve tried WD40, grinding down the spring bit underneath but it still sounds awful.

Has anyone managed to truly sort this? I’m wondering if there is a way to cut the flaps out of the pipe as I am running the valve delete so don’t need them.

Don’t really want to buy another exhaust if I can help it.

MM

Had the rattle on both my Millies - TBH, just thought it was part and parcel of it as it happens when coasting from around 20mph.

Why not give Milltek a call and see what they say?

I guess the question to ask....is it normal? Doesn't bother me personally and given it happens on all of them, it would appear its not a fault per se...and I wouldn't be without a Millie on the car; can be had new for £1300 with haggling, so not mega money; especially when compared to either a Std Sports Exhaust and the horrendous cost of Akra, Tubi Etc....

Quote From an earlier post.....
dasquade wrote:Not sure what valves APR use but milltek used valves with additional little spring under the valve (i suppose against rattling flap or give it some extra tension). But over time exhaust carbon fills up the cilinder with spring and therefor the OEM spring can't push the valve downwards enough and valve keeps in lock position (small lip).
SInce i removed the little spring on both sides, they been working flowless in combination with the cete exhaust module (manual overwrite + memory).

Thats what I paid for mine direct from Milltek last March after some haggling and screen shots from other places; paid £90 to get it fitted at local garage.

To add, mines a non res cat back - not a res or full system.
