Maxton Splitter Fitting Advice
Maxton Splitter Fitting Advice
Just got the Maxton front splitter & hoping to fit today. Any tips on this?
Re: Maxton Splitter Fitting Advice
Don't know whether I need to take bumper off to fit.
Anyone??

Re: Maxton Splitter Fitting Advice
Bumper doesn't need to come off. I used double sided tape to position the splitter and then drilled the supplied bolts (having a lift or air suspension makes it easier).
Re: Maxton Splitter Fitting Advice
Depends on which version you bought. I fitted my V2 version last week. I couldn't fit the bolts in the centre as i couldn't get to put any nuts on them, there simply is not enough space to get your fingers in. I bought some self tapping bolts for the centre section. Looks super cool and a very good fit. You will need to drop off the short undertray cover held on by Torx headed screws and the small cover behind this that clips onto the AC evaporator

Yeah, you indeed need to take of the front undertray cover.
The lip indeed is nice....but you might want to add some paint protection film on it. The paint is very prone to stone chipping and if you scrap it...it will flex to some degree but will leave a white spot :p. Luckly i wrapped mine.
