Just checked and a quick pull on the driver's door switch opens the boot, a long pull closes it with the alarm. Key does both too.

My car has no keyless option so I bet I can’t close boot by pressing key fob, and no app or carista device will do that as Mike sais, at least I can open my boot with remote key fob by far distance

I'd be surprised if no apps will do it, but not sure which can or can't. VCDS will definitely do it. I've used VCDS to change this on about 10 cars. My car didn't have keyless entry but I changed it so that it works from button and keyfob.

Note that the keyfob won't close the boot when the engine is on.

The beeps are correct when you are closing by other means than the boot button to warn anyone by the boot that it is closing that you might not have seen.

You can change it so that you don't need a long press to close the boot. I had it set so that only opening with the remote required a long press, everything else (including open and closing from the door button) only needed a short press.

Well if VCDS can do maybe carista can also, I just couldn’t find it where that option is

What was the code for not needing the long press?

You change the long press to 0 and the short press to 1. I'll have to dig out the byte and bit numbers later but I have posted the full instructions on this forum before if you want to search now.

Found this so you probably dont need to repost it for me. I'll just try and work out how to do it next! lol
Ok, I've just read about someone with a facelift car with exactly the same issue as you ie both were already actives and this post helped them fix it and get it working:

Check that both tap and touch are not activated at the same time:

6D – Trunk electronics
Security access – 16 = 12345
Address 6D:4G9 959 107 A recoded (ADP-(4)-Activation using rear lid opening button in remote key-Tap function for closing) from not active to active
Address 6D:4G9 959 107 A recoded (ADP-(3)-Activation using rear lid opening button in remote key-Touch function for closing) from active to not active
Address 6D:4G9 959 107 A recoded (ADP-(4)-Activation using rear lid remote unlocking switch-Tap function for closing) from not active to active
Address 6D:4G9 959 107 A recoded (ADP-(3)-Activation using rear lid remote unlocking switch-Touch function for closing) from active to not active

This will result:

remote opening – long press - touch
remote closing – short press - tap
door closing – short press – tap

Touch = long press is set for opening to prevent accidentally opening the hatch.

Touch = long press is set for opening to prevent accidentally opening the hatch.
I think that's pretty much it. Essentially if you want the tap (i.e. short press) to do anything make that option active or if you want the touch (i.e. long press) to do anything make that option active. But don't have both active at the same time or won't work i.e. if you have rear lid opening button in remote key tap active and touch active then it won't work, you'll need to make the one you don't want to work not active.
All the option you quoted above from my old post are repeated for the tap function for opening, touch function for opening etc too so there are twice as many options when you open it on VCDS but they work in exactly the same way as I just described but should already be set correctly as it's only the closing functions you are trying to change.

Are those options the current settings in your car (the yes and no part)? I ask because they look wrong from the factory setting to me.

This is my opinion on these settings;

open power trunk via remote (touch) set to yes
close power trunk via remote (touch) set to no
open power trunk via remote (tap) set to no
close power trunk via remote (touch) set to no
open power trunk via unlocking switch (tap) set to yes
close power trunk via unlocking switch (tap) set to yes

However, I'd expect to also see the following too:

open power trunk via unlocking switch (touch) set to no
close power trunk via unlocking switch (touch) set to no

Those pictures I took when I scanned my car, didn’t touch anything in there. P.s my car has no keyless option

Why I don’t see those options:?

open power trunk via unlocking switch (touch) set to no
close power trunk via unlocking switch (touch) set to no

Could it be because I don’t have keyless option?

Hi all,
I bought Carista as it was so cheap and supposed to be good.

Can anyone recommend the best customisation's/tweaks you have done using this please?

Cheers
Shane

Things ive done:
Beep when lock
Rear lights on with DRL's
One touch boot close on key/door
drl's dim not off when indicating

Things i'm thinking about doing or would like to know how to do:
start stop button remembers the setting
windows continue to go up even if i open the door
VIM (i did this on my q7 but the rs6 doesn't seem to want to play video ever)
Economy mode

But i'm also looking for suggestions of things people have done that they have found beneficial....
