Things ive done:
Beep when lock
Rear lights on with DRL's
One touch boot close on key/door
drl's dim not off when indicating

Things i'm thinking about doing or would like to know how to do:
start stop button remembers the setting
windows continue to go up even if i open the door
VIM (i did this on my q7 but the rs6 doesn't seem to want to play video ever)
Economy mode

But i'm also looking for suggestions of things people have done that they have found beneficial....
Cheers Sandy,
What does the 'Rear lights on with DRL' mean? As in, rear lights on at all times/daytime?

I really want my door mirrors to unfold when I unlock the car.

Like the Dimming DRL's when indicating.

I also want the beeping to stop when the engine's running and the door is open. Does my head in for some reason.

I want the start/stop to default to inactive with the light OFF. Mine defaults to active even thought the light is off.

Hi all,

Yep Rear lights on all the time, normally its just the front that are the DRLs.

I cant remember where the setting is, but it was quite easy to find the Start/Stop remembers last setting. I set this one and also set it to 'invert' so the light is off when the system is off.

Regarding the mirrors, I dont think that is possible they just unfold when you turn on the ignition...

I also set beep when unlock... and set the lights to stay on longer when I leave the car.. 45secs from memory. Default was 30secs I think....

Cheers,
Lig.

Cheers Lig,
This is sad but unless it's raining I've always squeegie'd all of my windows/door mirrors before I go anywhere as I can't stand seeing wiper marks/water marks etc. With the mirrors folded I can't do it properly so have to start the car first. Can you stop the mirrors auto folding when locking the car?

Folding mirrors is just in the mmi, in locking you can turn it off.

Carista / VCDS etc can't do VIM on the facelift cars. It is possible to do as I had it done but I had to pay a specialist to do it with the other expensive one that I can't remember it's name. But you should still be able to play video whilst stationary. Have you checked if the file types you are using are compatible?
And I never knew the windows stopped closing if you opened the door!

I did most of the mods above but I also did (using VCDS but assume you can do with Carista too);
Stop seat belt chimes
Allow car to pull away with handbrake on even if I haven't got my seatbelt on
Stop handbrake automatically applying when opening drivers door

Used the Carista myself and made a few changes as per Lig etc.

Shane re door beeping/chiming when you open it with the engine on...it does my head in too! For pre-facelift...
You can switch it off manually, but you have to do it every time you open the door : pull door handle and it will start beeping. Go to the cluster of buttons on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Press the arrow/ triangle pointing right. Beeps will stop. Until next time

I would like to ask did you manage close boot with remote key fob?

Done what I could on mine but I was expecting to do a little more. Bloody door chime is killing but the right arrow on the steering wheel does work thank you.

I used Carista to set the boot to close by remote etc. Worked when I set it up but it seems to have ‘forgotten’ since?

Anyone else had that issue?

Does your car has keyless option? I couldn’t find in carista options list where you can close boot with remote control

Maybe you can post your setup from carista?
