I'm looking at purchasing the Audi sports exhaust, as I have the standard at the moment, is this a sports item? Just looking on Ebay,
James
We also have a sports exhaust. Located in Birmingham. Will clear for £150.00

Hi James,
To see if yours has it, put it in dynamic and then shift into manual.... give it some beans and change down using the paddles, 3rd to 2nd should give you lots of loud cracks and pops... if it has a sports exhaust...
I don't know if there will be a visual difference between sports and standard OR if it will just be the internals that are different in the silencers???
Maybe if someone has changed their standard for a Millie, they could post a pic of their standard and see if it is any different???
Cheers.
Lig.

Hi Lig
It does have some crackles and pops, but only quite random ones..
I've now got side tracked looking at the APR system.. as there's a distributor just down the road from me..

Hi James,
With mine when you change down manually from 3rd to 2nd you always get quite loud cracks and pops... Maybe you need to find someone close who has a sports and go for a ride to see if its different to yours?
I am sure the APR will be much better than the 'standard' sports exhaust. Another level up... but you are looking at £2K v £150?!
I am sure Stevie F (aka Uplandsway) will be on soon enough to give you some APR advice, he rates them... highly..... !!
Do keep us posted.
Cheers,
Lig.

Will do
There does seem to the odd pop or crack, but not too many.
Ah yes, I've been PM'ing Uplandsway about the APR system!
That's true, there is quite a price difference! Knowing me I would get the sport system, then upgrade again in the future (it seems a medical condition that I have to modify cars..)

I think it's all relative. I didn't think the sports exhaust was quite loud so I wouldn't say that was a reliable way to test. Also makes a difference if you have double glazed windows as that makes them all sound quiet.

Hi James,
Yeah agree with Mike, mine sounds really quiet when running in 'standard' mode. Its only when you give it some in Dynamic that it sounds more grunty.... But yes difficult to describe..
Here is a little vid of mine that a pal took a month or so ago. Its not great, but with a bit of volume maybe you can tell if it sounds different from yours, this was taken in Dynamic mode up to about 5K revs...??!!
He seemed to think it was loud enough
Cheers,
Lig.
