Quite impressed with the fuel economy!

Post by jamesbilluk » Wed Aug 21, 2019 10:28 pm

I know I should have been driving the car harder...... But had the other half, and baby, and her mum in the car.. So was taking it easy, and decided to see what it could do on Fuel, Edinburgh back to malvern.. This was with the fraffic flow too, quite fun seeing it pop into 4 cylinder mode. The final tank calculation is impressive (it will all go wrong when I'm at home now though..) But nice to know it can be economical if needed.. Such a comfortable car to do long distances in. I'm looking forward to giving it a work out on my favourite road now though!

Just as well I only got 29.9mpg yesterday on a trip to Chester then! There and back, 380 miles on a tank with 50 miles to spare. Wasn’t hanging about though, reckon it would have done 31-32 mpg if I hadn’t been demonstrating the superiority of engine and drive train to a Panamera Turbo e-hybrid on the way back

It’s the co-developed V8 that’s found across the VAG range now. Urus, Continental, Panamera etc etc. In various states of tune.

I thought the new RS6 has a new engine, as used in the Porsche Panamera, Lamborghini Urus etc?

I thought the panamera e-hybrid was a proper hybrid that is rumoured to be in the new RS6 performance with circa 700ps rather than the mild hybrid in the new RS6 with 600ps.
