Sports exhaust query

Hi all
Sorry for another question.. Whilst I'm loving the car, and it does sound fantastic with the standard exhaust, I've seen a couple of the Audi Sports exhausts for sale. Is the Audi sports system valved? and would work with the Comfort and dynamic mode? I have seen a valve in the pipes of the standard system too.

Not worth it. You're pennies would be better spent on a used Milltek - or as some of the the guys have done on here, remove the centre section - will be a less expensive way to get more noise.
Had the OEM Sports exhaust on both my 6's and took them off - It's valved and works in both comfort and dynamic mode
I'm sure there will be someone along soon who has had the mod done.

Morning James,
Have you been in one with a sports exhaust? I suggest you try and get in one first and see what you think as it will be a waste if you still want more noise......
I have the sports exhaust and really like it. In comfort mode it is quiet but then in Dynamic and giving it beans, it does sound nice, but not over the top. Then when you want lots of 'pops' you can just use manual and put it down in to 2nd, foot off the gas and it pops and bangs nicely!! HOWEVER...... I haven't been in one with a Milltek, so this could change my mind... But for me I don't want it to sound too loud and plan to keep it with the 'standard' sports ex.
Does the standard exhaust pop at all? Try changing down using the paddles, into 2nd, then foot off the gas and see what happens??
Get in one first before you shell out ££.
I know everyone 'bangs' on about how great Millteks sound, and yes they do give more noise, but depends on what you are after... Could be too loud and 'Max Power' IMO (I know peeps will shoot me down now......

) ??!!
Cheers,
Lig.

I can vouch for the recently released APR Cat Back Exhaust as shown below
https://www.awesomegti.com/shop-by-bran ... 7-4-0tfsi/
I went from a Peron Decat Downpipe with Milltek Non Res to a full APR System, currently have the Non Resonated System, much deeper, less tinny / metallic than milltek...it gets my vote
Before I went Stage 2 I ran a milly non res and loved it but sometimes the tinny pops and bags are a bit much..

Horses for courses - As Lig says, you're best to sit in one first and see what option you fancy - if you're down near Cardiff, you're welcome to have a listen to mine
Personally, Milltek all the way for me. Don't get tired of the noise, though I am abroad most days of the week so not in the car every day.
Like Lig, a mate of mine on here has a 6 and he prefers the OEM Sports exhaust on his. Wants to be more "subtle" - though not sure how "subtle" an RS6 can be

Hi Lig,
That does sound just what I'm after, the cars my daily driver, so don't want anything too loud, just a small upgrade over what's here would be great, in dynamic mode, lifting off the throttle there is some crackles already, but would be nice to have a bit more noise when pressing on, (also finding the car so well insulated it's hard to hear)

That does sound fantastic though!

Very great if there's no droning on the motorway though, that's what I was worried about,

100% absolutely NO Drone in comfort on motorway, Mrs approves of this one too

The sports exhaust is rubbish.
I did the res delete mod with the Miltek valve delete module which to be fair is a good compromise.
My welds were starting to fail where the boxes were removed which could be just a bad job.
I’ve just fitted a non res Miltek and it is a beast. If I’m honest a little too loud for everyday but I still have the Miltek valve delete active.
Anyone with a Miltek non res made the valves active again? Presume that will bring back comfort mode and a quieter experience when I fancy it?

Hi guys
Whilst cleaning the exhausts thismorning, I noticed valves in the exhaust, does the standard system have them? They were closed before I went out, now open when I returned from a drive
