Brake Pads - RS6/7 Performance
Hey All,
I am looking for advice please.
I have a 2017 RS7 Performance which requires new pads, front and back.
Does anyone have the genuine OEM part numbers for these - the dealer prices are horrific and they refuse to give me the OEM part numbers!
I think the front brakes on the car are Brembo and rear Girling if memory serves me right. Is their a general consensus of a better performing 'aftermarket' solution for both front and rear?
Cheers

Re: Brake Pads - RS6/7 Performance
Hi,
The part numbers for the non-PE RS6 brake pads are as follows:
F= A4G0 698 151 AC (Quoted £271.71+VAT)
R= A4G0 698 451 K (Quoted 70.47+VAT)
I am pretty sure the brakes are the same for PE and non-PE cars but I don't know for sure ...
Cheers,
Lig.

Hi Lig,
Cheers for the information.
I have been quoted the same for the front and a little more for the rear. Including fitting its well over £800, which is almost £400 labour!
Did you stick with OEM or choose an aftermarket brand?
I cannot find anyone selling the OEM genuine Audi part other than a dealership......
Cheers

Speak to Stafford Audi via eBay! He may be able to do a deal on the parts.

Re: Brake Pads - RS6/7 Performance
I just got a quote as I am going to need discs and pads soon.... I am going to go OEM as read a lot about discs warping, so want some kind of warranty. Audi quoted me £600 labour for F=R discs and pads.
I got a quote on eBay from Cardiff Audi, but it worked out about the same as my quote from Harrogate Audi which was £1900 parts £600 Labour.... ouch!!
But I should only have to change them once as I do very few miles.
IF they are anything like the C5 discs (back in the day), you could only get them from Audi as they owned the design rights or something, but of course they must be made by someone? Maybe Pagid???
Cheers,
Lig.

Yes I have and may well use them when the time comes. But have just read a lot about warped discs and if Audi have fitted them, then they should replace them if I have a problem?! IF someone else has fitted them, then they might not be so 'helpful'?!

Yep I used these on the front and OEM on the rear. Combine with some Motul RBF660 and possibly steel brake lines (not sure these made any difference on a 1 or 2 year old car).uplandsway wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 5:07 pmIMO go Ferodo DS2500.

Just be warned that the Ferodos don't have any wear sensors so you need to keep any eye on them and short out the sensor on the car (or buy a pre-made shorting device).
