Has anyone installed a tow bar, asking for a friend who is looking to buy an rs6 but has been told there are no tow bars available, thanks in advance

Factory tow bar was only available on air suspension cars. Lots of discussion about this and the non-homologation of DRC cars and alternative options on here.
