Sports Exhaust anyone?
Sports Exhaust anyone?
My OEM Sports Exhaust comes off today being replaced by Milltek.
Available to pick up from MRC by Wed if anyone wants to make me a sensible offer (nb it's all one piece)

Re: Sports Exhaust anyone?
Not sure if there is a difference between pre-Fl and FL but I did exactly the same as you and my Sports exhaust is in my garage - in 3 pieces. I have FL.

Mine is pre-FL.
And you can have it in any number of pieces - just need a disc cutter....

Re: Sports Exhaust anyone?
I take it by your FL exhaust being in 3 pieces you had to chop it up ?

Just unclamps, no cutting needed.

Re: Sports Exhaust anyone?
Is that true? I am looking at replacing the exhaust on my RS6 PE, and was told the OEM sports exhaust that comes off will be in one (rarther large) piece.
Is that not the case? Can it be unclamped rather than cut up?

Yep. I thought it was one piece too. But breaks down in to 3. I’ll take some photos. The back section is still one, so still quite wide, but the centre sections unclamp.

Cheers. Pics would be great - thanks.
Do you thing the OEM (broken down) exhaust would fit in the back of the RS6 with rear seats down?

Re: Sports Exhaust anyone?
The back section is 160cm wide at the back boxes and is 240cm long.
There are then 2 125cn long sections which run from the cats to the main section.
It’s not going to fit in the back.

Hi all
I need to know in the next hour or so if anyone wants it - otherwise it goes for scrap!
Pics are at download/file.php?id=38254&mode=view though that's not my actual one.

Re: Sports Exhaust anyone?
I folded mine in half. The centre bit holding the 2 back boxes the right distance apart is only a thin metal strap and you can literally fold it over to fit it into the car. Bear in mind, mine had the front sections removed as it was modified.zappy-chops wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:21 pmCheers. Pics would be great - thanks.

Edit; just thought, if the centre resonator is still attached you won't be able to fold it. I can't remember where it splits on the oem system but I suspect it it before the centre resonator so won't fold.
