Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 295 30 21,anyone fitted ?

Morning guys,
I`m gonna require tyres very shortly and was going to just bite the bullet and order for my upcoming garage time.
Has anyone fitted the Michy Pilot Sport 4S in 295 30 21 sizing as opposed to the OEM 285 30 21 and if so how is the fitment ?
My car is set up on KW Adjustable Suspension with Vossen Alloys 21X10.5 ET25, I dont run wheel spacers as the alloys pretty much sit where I want them.
Appreciate any thoughts or feedback.
Thanks!

Yes, fitted them several months back - there's a post on here somewhere!
I have OEM wheels so I added a 5mm spacer so the inner face is where it was before and the outer face is +10mm so it fills the arches nicely.
VERY please with grip levels especially in the wet just as I was on my C5 beast - the improvement is noticeable.
Reading on the speedo is now actually closer to the reading by GPS.
Fit and enjoy!
Dave

What does the speedo reading have to do with the tire width?
Here's the pic uplandsway, that Dave was talking about.

The depth of a tyre , in this case 30, is a percentage of the width. As the wheel size is fixed, if you increase the width and keep the depth % the same, you have a bigger rolling radius. If the radius is bigger, then the circumference will be bigger too, so the tyre will travel further for each revolution of the wheel, ie it will indicate slightly lower speed on the speedo.
Hope that helps! There is a website somewhere which will give you the direct comparison between different tyre sizes.

Rolling circumference is 20mm bigger with 295 tyre - due to deeper tyre wall (30% of 295 rather than 30% of 285) meaning the speedo will read 0.84% less at same speed. Tiny difference.

Hi
I’ve not risked it as I don’t run spacers due to wheel offsets 21x10.5 et25 so have played it safe with MPSS 285 30 21

There is a world of difference between the MPSS and 4S - I ran both on my C5 and the 4s was soooo much better!
Bite the bullet and get some - you won't regret it!

As much as I’d like to fit the MPS4S in 295 flavour I don’t think it’d work with my set up so stayed safe with the MPSS in 285

I didn't know they'd started making the MPS4S in 21s, maximum was 20" for quite a while initially.
Very pleased with them on my S8 for the last couple of years; had MPSS before which were great but MPS4S are even better all round.
