RS6 Suspension knock

Post by Daz B » Fri Mar 08, 2019 5:27 pm

I see another thread running with similar but this is whats happened to mine, I had a leaking OSF shocker which was replaced under warranty on Tuesday gone by a performance garage who I bought the car off, but when I picked it up just got up the road it was banging like mad as if the boot had a something in the wheel well !! so turned around took it back to garage, mechanic got in heard problem straight away and said its got air in the pipes which has traveled to the back hence the banging, its booked in the main Audi dealer Monday to get sorted and the garage has said they will foot all costs does all this sound right?

Mine did that, the banging moved around until it all settled at the rear, the system has to be bled, they should have replaced both front shocks as they normally both go.

The banging is your rear DRC accumulator / “control valve”. Might need replacing as easily damaged by low pressure.
