You RS6 owners are f**ked, 2800 rare?! should have bought an RS7, if rarity is what you are after, only just over 460.

As for C7 vs C6, the C6 was launched during global financial crisis and aftermath and Audi couldn’t sell them hence they are limited!

C8 will no doubt affect prices, new tech, C7 owners trading up etc, how much so is anyone’s guess until the true purchase price and discounting is seen but I don’t see it being here until 2020.

But the value question is about a pointless as fuel economy with one of these cars. I will say however they do appear to hold values better than equivalent BMW, Merc, Jag etc.

RS7 will hit the same financial decline as the 6 . You know they only sold 500 of them as who wanted less for more @ RRP :bigblink: there a bit like the X6 in that fact .. When's the C8 7 out same time as the 6 by the way ?
So wrong, you got more in the RS7 than in the 6, carbon interior, HUD and sunroof were all standard. The '7's have already taken their hit so proportionately there isn't that much more to lose. When I bought mine used 2years ago it had already lost a chunk but was £20k cheaper than similar spec, age and mileage RS6'S

BTW that was all in jest, my point was worrying about residuals on big beasts like these is futile.

C8 RS6 to make its debut at Frankfurt in September. Judging by previous launches, I doubt you will see a LHD car on the streets of Germany before early 2020. My guess is summer 2020 for UK deliveries. It's just a guess, but there is no way you are going to get a C8 RS6 in this country in 2019. So we can all enjoy at least another 15 months or more of depreciation before raiding the piggy bank for an upgrade.

Limited supply initially of the C8 RS6 will also bolster Residuals - it's not like ordering a Ford Fiesta once launched. Either way, we should all enjoy the car and stop worrying about depreciation - everything depreciates over time. If we bought with our heads and not our hearts, there wouldn't be an RS6 forum.....a cocaine habit is cheaper than an RS6 to run. :)

Funny though, when I Had kids for the first time I was running 2 911s a 997-2 C4S and a 991 C4S while I waited for the PCP to end on one . Then I had a child and the Mrs was like "kids cost a fortune" it was the cheapest thing I had owned! The child compared to the motors ! The RS6 I domt think is too bad compared to others with the same block V8!continental GT etc.

LOL. You really have no idea do you? I find you and your lack of abilities hilariously amusing :) Don't hurt yourself now as you stomp your feet in frustration.

I have to say RS6’s are quite common. I saw 4 along the A14 yesterday and I saw 5 this morning in Stratford and along the M40. Common as muck.
Current ride’s
Q7 Floret Silver Black Edition On 22’s (2018)
Renault Clio 172 Cup. (Babe the track pig)

Previous rides
SQ5 Glacier white( 2016 65reg)
RS6 avant C7 Daytona Grey 2015 facelift. The one I waved goodbye to!!
2013: Q7 3.0 tdi s/line plus ibis white (13reg)
2012: S5 cabriolet glacier white (62 reg)
2011: RS4 saloon B7. Avus (57 reg)

So that's 4 or 5 out of the thousands of cars you would have seen in total on those journeys. Perhaps not that common then. :bigblink:
Currently running:
18 plate Lamborghini Huracan Performante (5.2l of V10 naturally aspirated craziness)
67 plate RS6 Performance (fully loaded)
66 plate Range Rover Autobiography (for wafting around)
16 plate Mini Cooper S convertible (lots of fun but rather skittish when thrashed)

Favourite car ever owned:
1971 Citroen DS21 - The Goddess (pure art on wheels)

They are rare enough that every time I see another, we give each other a flash and a knowing nod that we are in something special.........a petrol heads wet dream perhaps. :). the only replacements I would consider swapping mine for are a C8 or a new shape G63.....
