“Inspection service” at 3 yrs

Just paid £250 for an “inspection service”. Seemed a little vague on what this entailed other than a detailed inspection
So a question to you wise folk - car is just turned 3 and 36k on the clock. Any idea what this inspection service was?

Think there diffrent Matt. Depending on mileage, it's crazy they haven't gone though with you what's been done! 250.00 sounds like basic inspection and maybe break fluid flush and change?

Had one myself a few months ago, from what I gather it's basically just a visual check. Annoying to say the least.

I asked for an inspection schedule for the 2 year inspection service. I was basically told to sod off as they didn't want to share!

So to add they had also done a bunch of other stuff I had specifically said not to do (yet). Cars at 36.5k, these are suggested at 40k so figured I may as well get a few months out of it:
- dust and pollen filter
- oil for final drive
- ATF
- air cleaner element
Because of that oversight, they comped those buts but I wasn’t sure if the ‘inspection service’ was their way of making a bit back

login to "my audi" app the history and what's been done will all be listed in there

My car has an inspection with oil change before I bought it in March 2018, it is now saying an inspection service is due in a few weeks or 3,500 miles (1 year since the last service and 3 years since first registered). The next oil change according to the service intervals under car settings is 4,200 miles or 126 days. I'm not sure what is best to do, will I just end up paying for the inspection all over again in a few months if I don't get the oil changed now?
I presume inspection is 12 months or 10,000 Km and oil change is flexible based on driving style? From my calculations it will be approx. 8000 miles since the last oil change.
I have a very reputable Audi specialist in my area (Quattro Tech) but if I go there I am wondering if my car will be seen as less desirable?

If your planning g on selling Audi will always make it apeal more to users. I'd have the oil service done and tell them to reset the inspection for you should be fine .

I don't plan to sell any time soon. It is still within warranty (bought from Audi so had extended warranty until May) so maybe going to Audi this time will be beneficial so I can try and pick up any issues under warranty.
I was thinking it might be easier just to get it all done in one hit, seems a little excessive / expensive to pull the oil change service in by 4 months especially if this happens on a regular basis but maybe I need to stop thinking about saving a few quid!
Trying to get my head around the servicing intervals of the car, can't seem to find reference to what to expect from a quick search around. Bought my wife's Q5 at the same time and that isn't saying anything is due yet despite covering more miles, I presume her service intervals on a 3.0 TDI 2016 Q5 differ from the RS6, to be expected with a performance car.

3 years from first registration it will be due a brake fluid change. The inspection service it is telling you to have done will most likely be for this rather than an actual service.

Agree with Mike - mine is showing inspection service due which is for brake fluid change and MOT.

As an aside on this my 2016 has just had an oil and inspection service at 12.5k miles. Looking in the computer it is showing as 560 odd days till the next which seems a little long to me. Can I get this to show annual instead as I'm not a fan of 2 year service periods on a performance car.

Yes the dealer can change it from flexible servicing to fixed so it is due every 12 months or 9000miles whichever comes first. I had mine set up like this by the supplying dealer then when it went in for first servicing at a different dealer they changed it to flexible and didn't tell me.
