Quattro Grill Question...

Post by jwlanky » Fri Jan 04, 2019 12:44 pm

Im getting a bit of grill envy. I have a 2015 Facelifted RS6 - and the front grill is the chrome surround without the lower Quattro lettering. Was it an option to have this quattro grill or did it come with a dynamic pack or similar??

PS - I know the PE version gets it!

It wasn't standard for the FL. You had to get the black or silver (slightly darker than standard silver) pack to get the Quattro grill.

Thanks. Them must have been the styling packs then (just found a online brochure - matt silver, gloss black or carbon). Kinda confused me as I have a mix of gloss black (rear diffuser, front blades), and everything else matt silver - but no quattro logo.

The standard finish with no optic packs came with no quattro grille and matt aluminium finish to windows, roof bars, grille surround, strip along to of rear diffuser, mirrors and front spoiler but I think the main part of the rear diffuser (and maybe side flaps) were black. There were reports on here on some cars coming with a mix of packs too.

Thanks Mike. Ive sure seen several variations of different optics and grilles out n about which would back up claims of mix of packs.
Anyways Ill probably swap my grill over to a glass black quattro one and get the matt chrome remaining bits wrapped to match just for a change (even though I do think the matt looks sweet).

No there was no silver option, it was matt aluminium. And it only came in one shade regardless of whether you had the quattro grill or not. But the Performance version also had a matt titanium option which is a but darker than the matt alu.

Yes, plus also people sometimes change bits as they go along. I currently have 2 spare quattro grilles, one in titanium and one in black but the black is not ready for sale yet.

I think the titanium one can be sold. I was gonna sell all the titanium bits together but can't be bothered to advertise it all. I think it still has ppf on the surround and the quattro surround too. Let he take a look at the condition tonight. The main part of the grille is brand new; I bought a brand new black one and ended up just swapping the surround rather than the whole grille so it's immaculate but need to check condition of the surround.

Once I swap mine for the carbon I'll have an all black one.
