How much for a Dealer fitted tow bar?

I thought I would add this video I received a while ago back when looking for a car for my wife. We were interested in an A6 Avant, and this particular car had the genuine Audi tow-bar fitted.

Fast forward the video to 3 mins and watch until 4 mins 15 sec. Hopefully that will show a brief explanation of how the tow-bar works. I hope you find this of some interest !

No problem, Chris ! I was curious about the tow bar too if I'm being honest, hence why I asked the salesman to cover it on the video.

I may be in the market in the next couple of months for an RS6 and the tow bar would be a must for me. Unfortunately so few have it fitted due to most people going for the dynamic pack. I may find it hard to find the right car !!!!

Nice car that A6 btw. What did you end up getting for your wife?

What's nice about the A6 tow bar is its simplicity. I had a BMW Touring and it folded and retracted electrically. It would have been complicated to fix and would have been stuck if the motor failed part way through its operation. At least with A6 one it's basic. I'm still not sure why they're so expensive though

Plymouth Audi have just called and informed me the price will be £2400 + VAT. Ouch.

We liked that particular car because it had lots of extras, heads up display, towbar, air suspension, technology pack advanced, parking pack advanced etc etc etc, but in the end someone bought it before we could view. Unfortunately before we found another we ended up buying a site for a self build, so I'm afraid that has taken over for the mean time and the cars have to sit on the back burner. Hopefully it wont be too long before we are in the market again !
