Dave, based on the price that I have seen those backboxes going for, you are going to save an absolute packet even if you just get them new and use my bits?

The deal isn't signed in blood, you can bow out if you want, not the end of the world whatsoever but was nice and easy for me is all.
Current:

"Brutus"- C5 RS6 Avant - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats - Wagner ICs - PSS9 - H&R ARBs - OZ Superturismo LM - C6 Custom brakes - HD RNS-E - Various other bits - 555PS/832Nm

Gone:
"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats, uprated fuel pumps, race plugs, 745PS/1095Nm
12' Cayenne Turbo, B7 RS4, S3, Cupra R, XJR, EVO VII, STI8,5,2&WRX, 106 GTI&XSI, other crap.

Hi Footers,

Deal is done from my perspective - just seeing if anyone has some back boxes "used" versus new. Already found some good prices new, but worth asking here!

I could do as MIke suggested and get a fabricator to make up a piece, but to be honest that's too much faff. And if I take the whole "Sports Exhaust" off it may be of interest to someone so I recover more of my costs!! :drink:

I'm not in a hurry to put the new system on - will probably get done at the same time as the tune in the spring!

Mike
I do happen to have both rear silencers sitting on a shelf but you can't have them.
- erm, thanks for the non-offer!! If you happen to change your mind then let me know!

Dave

Interesting!! They don't look the same as these!

Yours don't appear to have the triangular cross-section.

It's just the angle of my photo. They are exactly the same.

Christ, when you see it laid out like that, add in my sports cats and I can really understand just how this car is sooooo loud with the valves open. :FIREdevil:

Why was it trailered in 1 piece rather than seperated and shoved in the boot?

Lad took it off his car and I couldn't be bothered to split it down just for someone to reassemble it again.

Ok im just trying to get hold of the right Stainless Steel Pipe! Im aware I need around 2 meters of pipe to cut and bend in the right sections. However the problem now is that I cant find the right size inner pipe. They are either made in 63MM inner or 70mm Inner. 63MM i will have to flair out and 70MM flair it in. I just wanted a pipe like "65mm" that will sleeve on top of the current RS6 Stock Sports Exhaust.

What have you done Mike?

I took it to an exhaust fabricator and asked to to replace it. Easy peasy. It took him longer than I expected and cost me more because for some reason he thought I'd like some nice flanges. I'd have been happier with it just welded out.
