Arse, I'll give you that one, not bad. I am wavering ever so slightly on the lowering actually after reading Mike's car thread fully. I REALLY want the PE wheels, I think they look lush.

Got the car back today from the gearbox service and changing the resonators on the Milltek to non-res. Was chuffed when they told me that I was spot on insisting that the gearbox be serviced at 48k miles as the fluid was tired.

The exhaust is HILARIOUS!!!! Maximum shoutiness with the valves open and the pops, bangs, farts and burbles all cranked up massively. Wife wanted more noise and couldn't stop laughing every time she accelerated or geared down tonight :D

Faisal, after I get her back from having the front windows tinted tomorrow, that will help make my mind up more on the black optics wrap.

Did Faisal mean a light tint to the windows or get the headlights tinted?

I always have the lightest tint put on the front windows of our cars, I hate the factory blacked out rears with light as hell front windows and have never been pulled for it or had anyone complain.

Cheers Eddie. It is such a shame that I have read/watched some utter horror stories about Valet Magic in Camberley and how they have destroyed some GTR paint jobs etc. when wrapping them, as they are only 5 mins away from where I live.

Hi Footers

Given the excitement generated by your exhaust note, clearly you need to add the Cete module valve delete to the list of mods - just for the giggles! :boots: :boots:

From what I have read, being that mine is on air suspension and is pre-FL, the cete module isn't necessary if I want to tinker with lowering her. I have VCDS so no problem there.

Have you heard a milly on the flesh on one of these Dave?

I mentioned the Milltek valve delete modules to the garage and they said that she was obnoxiously loud now and thought I would be a bit mad to disable them. They were right, it is better imo to still be able to use the valves for longer journeys.

It's the Cete Active Exhaust Valve Control that I meant - allows you to choose whether it's open or closed manually (for when she needs an extra giggle to get her in the mood coming home!!)

Knobby has one for sale on this thread this morning

And no, don't think I have heard either Millie or Akra in the flesh. I'm not really a "noise" person - I had the Millie on the C5 for performance, but don't think there is any real gain on these beasts. I might delete one set of Resonators when next at MRC to see if it is OK, but would keep them so they can go back in.

Mr Footlong wrote:Gsc, no mention of induction etc. but they have come back regarding the uprated fuel pumps and I have had them added to the list.

Will see how she is when she rolls out of there and then if I think it is worth it, I will stick Milly cats on "down the road" so she is the same as beast.
How much were the uprated fuel pumps? Been running stage 1 for a while with no issues, run BG fuel system / injector cleaner through it every 3k miles but maybe this could be the next preventative measure

I meant the windows for the tints - but actually Mike’s looked good (mean as hell) with the headlights done too!

I highly recommend having an exhaust valve controller with a noisy exhaust. I have them on the RS4 and R8 and they’re used on every journey.
