5mm spacers

Post by Daveperc » Thu Oct 18, 2018 6:21 pm

OK, I may have asked this before, but is anyone actually running (or has run) 5mm spacers??

I will shortly be fitting 295 tyres and want to add the spacers so that the inner clearance is unchanged (outside face will then be +10mm).

However slightly concerned that at 5mm they won't be hub centric and I may therefore run into centering issues and vibration.

And any of our site sponsors got a view, or want to sell me the spacers and bolts??

I used 5mm spacers briefly with no issues.

Edit: actually, not sure I ever drove on them as the bolts were too short.

Mike - do you still have them/want to sell them??

I can source bolts - I think the OEM ones are 27mm, so presume 32mm is what is needed.

I think I ordered the bolts but changed my suspension before they turned up.
Let me check what I have when I get home. I think they will be OK though as the bolts do a pretty good job of centering everything.

I still have them but to be honest I just looked up what I paid for them and it's not worth me selling them. I paid £39 from amazon. To sell them now as 2nd hand it wouldn't be worth the hassle of packaging them up and going to post them at that price.
FYI I only use H&R spacer and bolts. The closest H&R bolts I could find for 5mm spacers were 31mm.

Yes I clicked the link and it said I have previously bought these.
And the part number matches the one in my photo.

All ordered (incl 31mm bolts).

Also ordered the tyres, Mich PS4S at 295/30

Not cheap - but worth every penny - now I have to be patient till they arrive and I can get them on :boots: :boots: :boots: :boots:

Thanks for the help :jump_clap:
