I’m an absolute knob !!

Post by guyneutron » Tue Oct 16, 2018 11:01 pm

So reversed into my parking spot as I do almost everyday. I have to park pretty close to the Column to allow room for the spot next to mine...anyway.... I’m an idiot! As the picture shows! So upset at myself! Doubt this will buff out

Rule of thumb . If you can feel it with your finger nail, it will need painting . :-(

Gutted for you mate, albeit easily done.

I was always told if you lick you finger and rub the mark and it disappears then you can buff it out. If not, something more significant will be required.

Fingers crossed for you.

Gutted but easily done!

Bumper and rear quarter/blend into rear door....£600 approx I would say. If it's much more than you are having RS tax applied.

That is ridiculous! Try Shorade in Cannock for a quote. You can email them pics and they will come back with a price. I have used them in the past and they are very good. Usually see all manner of exotica whilst there as well.

My local Audi dealer has their own bodyshop onsite, I'm sure the main man there would charge less than £1000 pounds to sort (£800?). It's Five Oaks Audi in West Sussex.

Not sure where you are based but I have just used:

https://londonbumper.repair

For a smart repair and cracked bumper, fantastic job and I know Gary will travel. Have a look at his Instagram page for the work he does.

Jardine Audi (Wolvo, Halesowen....) used to use these, they might still do. I used them for powder coating wheels and they messed me about, then did my mates (his wife works for Audi) and they did one of his wheels totally different to the other 3! This was along time ago though. I was working at the back of the building on Friday, they do have some nice cars there.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!
