what is this for on lap timer screen?
what is this for on lap timer screen?
Hi there
When I shifted accross into manual mode on lap timer screen I could see five horizontal bars dimly lit up. Shifting back to D or S mode they disappear like in the pictures attached.
Does anybody know what these greyed out horizontal lines are for?
Cheers

Floor it and see what happens in manual.
They start off green and end up flashing red when you hit the rev limiter.

Use it to stop you hitting the rev limiter!

How do you even get that lap screen? I have a PE but not seen that screen before
Also, is there anyway to show the battery voltage like the C5 had? As my car is more of a weekend toy, in the colder months my battery level used to drop very low on the C5. The gauge would let me know if it needed a charge or not.

Not managed to get the battery level up yet, even by using VCDS.
Lap time is the second option from the bottom on the various DIS options.

Grey horizontal bar: shift lights
Boost: vertical bar will appear once you start making boost
Laptimer screen is also very handy to check your engine oil temp, so you know when it is safer to start pushing it .

Oil temp, gear selection and shift lights also appear in the HUD if you have it, which is very useful.

do you have to be in a certain drive mode for this? i can't find it grrr
Re: what is this for on lap timer screen?
Where are you looking? The left hand steering wheel buttons allow you to choose what you display on the DIS. What options can you see? The lap timer is the top option on the second page of options.chandler99 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 06, 2018 6:32 pmdo you have to be in a certain drive mode for this? i can't find it grrr

So from memory; press the menu button (next to the left hand scroll wheel), use the scroll wheel to scroll to the lap timer screen, press the scroll wheel to select it.
