Hello all,
Quick one, cars in the body
Shop on warranty claim shortly and figured was a good time to change the badges out with gloss black black all round (bar grill) Thing is all I can find is the Chinese cheap Ebay rubbish? I feel odd taking off OEM to put these badges on .. I did my Mrs merc 45AMG in them and they lasted 5 minutes . Can someone recomend a quality product or solution i.e. just painting the OEM when it's in possibly . Car gets washed a lot ! I couldn't handle flaky badges

I looked at all the options but found most of the black options were smaller and plastics rubbish. In the end I went down the route of buying new OEM and having them painted. Not cheap as they need to be properly rubbed down primed then painted.

Thank you Skirs6 ,
This is the option I have gone for body
Shop said chrome can't be painted well so would need attention . I'll get them to order the OEM badges for rear and front will just paint .

Hi mate, yes so all changed out all to new OEM (apart front front rs6) all scribed and painted. Gloss and look great but they rough to touch, I guess something to do with the sanding of the chrome .

This is for sale, matte grey in a Prestige dealership in Yorkshire, nice car but this is what happens when your lazy on badges, incorrect size and incorrect spacing, would kill my ocd .

GC Yeah nice garage had a couple of decent RRs from there . The badges a not even aligned correct or straight on that one small issue to correct I guess with new Ebay purchase. The none OEM size would bug me but eveyone has a acceptance level I guess ! For me cheap Ebay plastic doesn't go on a 100k + whip .

They are no worse quality than the Audi cheap plastic (except probably more expensive).
