I know on the new RS4 the steering wheel user defined button can be used to switch between two drive modes. Is anyone aware of an aftermarket solution that might enable this or similar on a 2014 RS6? I'd just like to be able to switch drive modes without having to enter the menu system etc. (yes, I'm aware the car button will get me straight to the screen). I've seen a solution swapping the steering wheel for one from an R8 but hoping there might be something simpler?
Many thanks,

Re: Drive Select
Yes. The Performance RS6 steering wheel has a drive select button. I saw a retrofit option for the buttons and a control module I think. It was an international company but I can't recall which one right now. It'll come to me soon.
Re: Drive Select
Audi Retrofits can supply the R8 buttons and fit them to the existing wheel. Ash assures me all buttons will work but is not sure if the exhaust flap one will. I don't see why it wouldn't as I have the sports exhaust and it's already a setting in the MMI. Only downside is £1300 but I guess that includes RS6 tax etc. Sounds like the path I need to follow. Here's the pics he sent me...
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Drive Select
My 2016 facelift has the star button on the steering wheel, but having followed the manuals instructions there seems to be no way to assign it a function on the menu. Can you tell me where in the menu you found your command option?
Re: Drive Select
What command option? I have a dedicated drive select button on my steering wheel. This is what I was talking about that can be retrofitted.
