brake pad warning light

the brake pad warning light has just appeared on the dash, and i can't get the car into the stealership until the 28th of this month. does anyone know how much life is still left in the pads when the light appears? it's the rear pads and they've done 31k so far

My local indie looked at my pads while fitting my Milltek
He said there were close to the wear indicating triggering but had over 40% pad left so told me not to be overly concerned if the warning came on.
That’s just what he told me though, I don’t know myself.
