Picked up my RS6 earlier in the year, really fantastic car

Have been on this forum most days since and learnt so much!
(think i might have read through most topics on about 35 pages !

First post and a question if i may please?

What do we think the audi sport branded Akrapovic Exhaust would cost an audi dealer ie their cost price?

Im looking at getting a deal on one fitted as part of discussions im currently having with them.

I can see they are between 7.5k - 8k Euros on these two sites ( so about £7300 ish)

Not sure about the main dealer but I was quoted £7600 for supply and fit by a local (and well respected) tuning co. That's about 8500 Euro. I would imagine the dealer would charge more for fitting. However if you're nervous about your warranty like I was, it might be policy to get the dealer to do it - even if its a little more expensive.

EDIT - the fitting cost was £80 as its straight forward and only takes an hour. Not sure about the cost price of the system though.

sorry probably be me needing to be clearer , the question i meant was

what would the exhaust cost the audi dealership themselves, ie the cost price to them for them to buy it into their dealership. - not what they charge us to supply and fit
if we buy it its about 7-8k , what the cost price for mr audi dealership to buy the part in to their business

anyone any idea what the cost price might be, im trying to get some thoughts prior to a dealership getting back to me with an offer

Unless warranty is your concern u can pick up a second hand one for less than half of that fitted at a indey.

the dealership and i are talking about them supplying and fitting an akrapovic for me as part of a deal for issues ive had with the car.
they are looking into what it will cost them to do it.
as such im wondering what their costs might be as ill be contributing to it as well

I guess you’re in Europe where the Akra can be supplied direct through Audi. It’s not available in the UK so we cannot really comment.

only used those web sites as examples for guide prices as couldn't find them on UK audi site.....

Audi don’t officially supply in the UK. Plenty of third parties do though.

sounds like i might have to keep an eye out for a used one then...

now ill have to think of another item they can add to the car in compensation

it a FL 2015... any suggestions at all?

I said that on here then someone posted a video of Mr JWW having one supplied and fitted by a UK Audi dealer. Maybe they do for media celebs but not normal folk.

So you are getting one as part of a deal from a dealer? Why not ask him how much it is costing him? or don't you trust they will tell the truth?

It’s a worrying definition of a celeb....

I guess there’s nothing stopping a dealer fitting one and taking one for the team if it goes tits up. Suspect that’s what happened here in exchange for some twinstabooks or something.

Re the trust, i Guess sort of, I thought it would be nice to know an idea. in advance of next week, of what an audi sport akrapovic system might cost them to install before they tell me the cost.

They are meant to be getting back to me after the weekend. We are talking about getting one fitted at their cost price and ill contribute towards it. Ive had issues with my recent car purchase which have resulted in the car being back at the dealership for quite a long time (measured now in months not weeks)

compensation wise they asked what i wanted, originally the answer was just my car back fixed please (as im not a huge compensation kind of person), but as the delays go on im thinking what they can do that that doesn't cost them much but is worth more to me.
so thought about the exhaust , but Im not at the MrJWW level so i suspect an answer of we can't is coming back next week. (ive seen that video , maybe i should offer them the chance to video it being fitted as a promo

what else you guys think dealers can fit to a car that adds to its appeal / use.
Its Facelift 2015 , b and o, audi exclusive individual paint, black carbon side mirrors, back styling pack, DRC dynamic pack, regular parking pack+ with rear camera, convenience pack, audi connect with phone box, garage door opener, sports exhaust privacy glass, heated seats, red callipers

the next service is the 40,000 mile one as well ....... just fancied adding toys to the car, but if I'm over reaching ........
