Carbon Fiber Paddle Extension

Post by Anth » Tue Aug 28, 2018 12:00 am

I use manual a lot, mostly to hear the gurrgles and pops when just enjoying life and downshifting just for the Audio! Which brings me too Had anyone installed the 100% Carbon Fiber Steering Paddle Shifter Extensions and could recommend the provider please?

I bought a set of paddles from nexon motors who sell on eBay. The quality of the carbon weave is excellent some of the cheaper paddles are I think a bit to thin but these are just right.

Do you all have incredibly small fingers? I've never had an issue..... perhaps I have the issue? 🤣

Ditto. I get the big paddles where they are fixed to the column. As these are fixed to the wheel seems unnecessary, in fact I reckon they’d get in the way. Feels a bit Halfords....

Thanks for the info great.

There for track use the stck are fine until you need to find them quick at 100 when your wheels upside down !

It's funny, but I find the steering wheel paddles fine until I'm really giving it some and can't find the gear change when I want it so if I'm driving anything faster than traffic speed I have to rely on the gear stick for gear changes as mid bend I don't know where the paddle is.

You could go for the RS4 FL paddles slightly larger i did this on my 2013 RS4 you might need to check the fitment though

Yes Mike Im the same soon as you go to find them on the move it can be a pain, although I do agree the aftermarket is looking a little halfords as been said although useful. Anyone fitted the R8 paddles are they larger or will it be the same issue anyway. I do think if your not really using manual in track driving there in the way and pointless really .
