Virtual cockpit

Post by johnny11 » Sat Aug 25, 2018 11:19 am

So the RS6 is back with the dealer as there are issues they should of been addressed before I picked up. In the meantime they have given me the new A7 to play with which has the virtual cockpit, now this is a great light show at night but because both the centre screens are touch screen you have to concentrate more on this which potentially means you could get more distracted from driving.

Mikefish said exactly this the other day . I agree, drawing everything away from buttons is going to have this issue.
They have been lazy on the C7 face lift for me they could have given it a full digital dash at least like the RS4 and how BMW did with there FL range - Also Annoyin how you can't go though the chassis settings without messing about with the mmi screen for me also, and the old car on the mmi on the imaging, lazyness !! Rant over

I did say that!

I think the first audi with virtual cockpit was the facelift A3 which came after the facelift A6 so I don't think it was so much as lazy as perhaps just not ready in time.

Yes this could be the timing on the full digital clocks BUT .. No updated Image of there own facelifted car on mmi with all audis fancy technology boasting over the last few years, we can't ever get a updated image, Lazy for sure Mike no !?

Sorry my ocd showing face here, drives me insane I watch that new Audi add and think I don't even have the same looking car, let alone a foot massage
