New Purchase.

Post by fozi.g » Sun Aug 19, 2018 4:02 pm

Afternoon gents.

Collected this on Thursday. There will be more pics to come and the mods list is being complied as we speak. Spacers already ordered, wheels been booked in for a colour change to black, black rings front and rear, black tints being removed and light smoke being applied all round. Plate surround needs to be removed aswell.

Spoken with MRC about a remap but there booked till the second week in September. That suits me as it’ll give me enough time to decide what i’ll be doing with the exhaust. The sports exhaust is ok but the car really needs more vocals.

Another ex R35 owner (i’m Japfreak on GTR forum) who brought an RS6. Totally agree on exhaust and spacers.
I’m focusing on my R33 for now but can’t wait to make my RS6 a bit livelier soon with exhaust mod, spacers and maybe lowering

Yes bud I recognise the name. You were hardcore GTR if I remember correctly. I literally came out of my third R35 before I bought the RS6. Feels like a grown up car in comparison.

Agreed bud. It’s on the list but it’ll be a full dechrome. So grill surround, roof rails, window surrounds and the Centre section in the lower front spoiler. Problem I have is as soon as it goes to the wrappers I know i’ll get tempted to just wrap the whole car aswell. I’m really quite partial to nardo at the moment. That or satin black

Congrats!

Regarding the plate surround being removed, if you put aside the fact that you're running the risk of fines/being pulled over - yes it looks alot cleaner from a distance but up close the rings stick out a fair bit and in my opinion the plate holder helps it look less 'goofy'!

I will be putting a plate on the front I just won’t be using the plate surround as it’s way too intrusive.

haha yup still got an R33 GTR which is a car for life. Very different and certainly more comfortable and useable as a daily driver in comparison to GTR to me

Agreed. I miss my 33GTR dearly. Built by TweenieRob himself. That was an animal but such an easy car to live with daily (bar the triple plate clutch!!)
