LANE DEPARTURE SYSTEM

Post by SimonG » Mon Aug 06, 2018 11:14 pm

Evening all, have a 2015 facelift RS6.

The lane departure light has today came on which fluctuates between yellow and green. The system def works when green .

The light has never been on before but never been too sure if system worked previously

Question is yellow light supposed to be on ?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried reading the manual? That will tell you what the lights mean.
if it's the one I think it is, it goes green when it can see the edges of the lane / Road markings and yellow when it can't. Suffice to say if it is yellow it won't be able to keep you in the lane. There's a button on the end of the indicator stalk to turn it on and off.
but your best bet is as I've said already. Look for the symbol in the manual.

When the system is activated there is a yellow symbol displayed just above mph counter - and a further graphic on the HUD where the car is in white and two shaded out grey lines either side - looks like you’ve accidentally activated it - just switch off as per mikes instructions

I know when I've departed the lane, I feel a rumble then hit the barrier. Or I just watch where I'm going.
