Wheels Help Please

Post by DaveBee » Sat Jul 21, 2018 7:29 am

Hi, I'm pretty naive when it comes to wheels so would appreciate help from those that know please.

My car is fitted with 21 inch wheels. At least three have been kerbed at some time in the past and so I'm exploring options around repair or get a completely new set of wheels. I've seen some Vossen ones I rather like :)

I understand the standard wheels are 21 x 9.5J.

Questions are... Is that correct and also what other measurements such as PCD? do I need to know?

Many thanks,
David

A good wheel specialist will be able to sort all that out for you. Where abouts are you in the country? Someone should be able to recommend a good company to you.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

Most people go for 21 x 10.5 and use the original tyres.
Pcd is 5x112.
Centre bore is 66.6
Offset will vary depending on which wheels you go for; you might need some spacers.
vossen fit well on the C7.

Thanks fellas.

I live in Kent. Not sure there are any good wheel specialists here, but then honestly, I wouldn't know.

If anyone can recommend someone I'd appreciate it.

I'm also tempted to get the existing wheels repaired and finished in a solid satin or gloss black (no diamond cutting).

Regards,
David

Lepsons are good for Wheel refurbs (one of the premier outfits in the country) and based in Gillingham.

+1 for Prestige Wheels if you want to replace rather than repair.

More local to you are Rimstyle (Ashford) who are also good Wheel specialists - but I’d give Del at Prestige a call first.
