Have the black tailpipes , sports exhaust system , some very small pitting starting to appear I don't want this to become an issue, any one had these changed out on warranty ?
I'm assuming there covered under paint warrantys anyway .

Plenty of threads on this. It’s pretty much unavoidable. Whether you can persuade a dealer to change them under warranty is another matter. Most often, not.

Had mine changed at about 2 and a half years, done by the dealer FOC. The new set look worse after one winter than the original set looked after two. Pointless getting them exchanged as they have done nothing to make them more durable.

Waste of time, they’ll be the same in a couple of months. Get them powder coated it’s the only way to prevent it.

Wipe over with cloth soaked in ACF 50 every so often. Mine still looked like new after 3 years and 35000 miles.

I had a set replaced on my B8 RS4, they lasted 9 months before they pitted.
They gave me another pair and I got them Zircotec performance 1 coated. They are not gloss black but satin black and should last. They are waiting to be fitted but here's a couple of pictures.

Looks great noidea! Loving the powder coated , are they easy to remove? I may just have Audi give me them to PC first then ! That's for all the info chaps .

It's not powder coated, it's a ceramic coating by a company called Zircotec. As I said they are brand new tips waiting to be fitted. The bumper has to be removed.

I think mine are pitted, and it’s an AUC car. Anyone got pics of theirs please so I can compare?
