I don’t understand why that small plate holder is not available. It’s an official Audi part. That must have been my best purchase thanks to Bem. Just the cost of postage. Top man πŸ‘

Hi folks, I am looking to put a private plate with either 4 or 6 digits on the RS6 and found this thread. I cannot find anyone selling the short plate holder mentioned in this thread (part # 4G0807285S) but from other comments it seems Audi can get it for you. Does anyone have the dimensions of it? The plates I am getting made up are sized as follows:

4 digit - 330mm x 111mm
6 digit - 406mm x 111mm

Don't know if either is a match for this short plate holder.
Currently running:
18 plate Lamborghini Huracan Performante (5.2l of V10 naturally aspirated craziness)
67 plate RS6 Performance (fully loaded)
66 plate Range Rover Autobiography (for wafting around)
16 plate Mini Cooper S convertible (lots of fun but rather skittish when thrashed)

Favourite car ever owned:
1971 Citroen DS21 - The Goddess (pure art on wheels)

I don't think the above short plate holder will fit the FL version as there is a slight variation in width of the screw holes...

Ah - there goes that plan then. Unless I can just modify the plate holder with new screw holes?! I am finding it impossible to source short plate holders the size I need. Plenty on ebay at 460mm but too big for what I am looking for. I could just stick the plate to the grill, but I think it looks much better in a holder. I could try to modify a normal plate holder to the size I need but I suck at DIY and will surely make a pig's ear of it.

Modifying the plate holder with new screw holes won't be easy as the holder has recessed channels that the screws sit in.

In my opinion it would be easier to modify a long facelift holder than try to make a short pre facelift one fit.
