Dude. Are you serious!?!?!? That looks horrid. I would have personally just used a dremmel and cut the plate holder down to size and use a liquid adhesive to bond the plate to holder or sticky pads if you don’t like to see screws.

Edwardo my friend ,

I hear you , the old plate holder was drilled it looked .. Horrific . That picture is a close up so 2m away you can see jack . Just grill .. This is a temp fix to get rid of the drilled massive holder my plate is 4 letters so I don't need a huge holder .

If I cut that tonight the cut finish will need painting or dipping orvtge finish will be rubbish .. It's not as bad as it looks honest

Remember the plate isn't much bigger than the Audi badge . It's desrete , close up not ideal but I'll sorce the EU plate holder before long or have a custom made to measure one made up and painted .

I don’t understand why that small plate holder is not available. It’s an official Audi part. That must have been my best purchase thanks to Bem. Just the cost of postage. Top man 👍

Or just order the short one from audi UK?

If you can afford an RS6 and a 4 digit plate then surely £120 for a decent looking plate holder is worthwhile?

Evening all, shorter plate all done - plate is tiny and will work up 5 letters at this size 4 is optimum see images . If you want one PM me and I'll sort it out for you not cheep as there done bespoke .

I have done a little quick how to below (for those interested) of how to get them on without the need for the plate holder large one or small one (I have a small holder now but it's still too big for it) so this is a good fix for the grill and looks nice on.

B&Q Electrical fixings nice & flat

Line the fixings so they fit inside the honeycomb
image.jpg
Attached wraps, make sure the wrap head sits in the grill not behind plate
image.jpg
If you have positioned it correct it will tighten in to the grill flush
image.jpg
Not perfect but flush I can tighten with some grips at some point

That is a small plate just the 3 number/letters ? Did you actually get the small Audi plate holder in the end ?
