It should run fine.

But why not just tell them you don't want the plugs changed (saving time and money) and get them done as part of the mapping/upgrade??
I have a friend with good links to NGK so i've already saved a fair bit.

They may well refuse to fit non OEM parts

And no I’m not kidding
Aylesbury Audi have already fitted non res milltek to the car, they agreed the plugs and and air filter can be swapped.

I have a chip on mine that brings it to around 680BHP - definitely worth it, you can feel the difference instantly. (You can also turn it on and off via Bluetooth)

Opinions on this? It's suggested we have the same diff as a 3.0TDI :audibash:

Not really what I wanted to hear but then again this car was running 100bhp+ over what most do. Also not great publicity for MRC with the things being said here by any means. They must tune hundreds of RS6s without diff & shaft issues - there reputation is fantastic.

Nice 0-100km in 2.8 seconds and that’s only with ecu remap and exhaust? Wonder 2014 model rs6 can do also 2.8 as Audi said that prefacelift and facelift has no difference in engine.

I also upgraded sparks but yes correct. Thats the best of the times using Launch which I very very rarely I did have a 14 plate Rs6 pee facelift and can't recall if that had launch?
, strangly it felt faster than my PE car when I first got it which was weird !

Even if you don't have launch you will be running early 3s on a cold day with sticky tyres and good fuel I'd like to think . It's not 0-100km I was intrested really stock is more than ample its the mid range boost .. Staggering now

pm if you want to chat regards the dms map I'm really happy .

OK - I'm typing with an idiot grin a mile wide! (That's wider than usual!!)

MRC had the car for 3 days for a bunch of work - full service, gearbox service, MOT, faulty parking sensor etc, and of course for an upgrade which was basically their Stage 2 bundle: so new hi-flow air filter, new coils (mine have done 80K miles/6 years), NGK race plugs, Autotech HP fuel pumps and of course a switchable map and I added a Milltek Res exhaust (half second hand of Footers beast).

VERY pleased! In normal traffic conditions etc the car is just as easy and relaxed as ever with just a discernible added urgency to the throttle. Put it on the open road, engage S mode, and the thing is wonderfully mental - I have no idea how quick it is 30-100 but it is noticeably faster than before (something my ever patient wife commented on from the passenger seat as we came off one roundabout at full throttle)! :FIREdevil:

The exhaust note is just as I want - I'm not into too much noise, but with the Pan roof up, the soundtrack is just perfect!

Do I have any gripes? Yes, one. To repair the rear parking sensor they had to remove the rear bumper, and with it my mudflaps! They are in the boot, but I'll have to refit myself - perhaps such work offended their professional pride!!

Overall, fantastic, and just as the car should be (or will be when I get those flaps back on!) :jump:

Good times and I’d be interested to see what fuel was being used during the run and if the car was full weight or lightened Image..

They probably thought you bought the car with the mud flaps on and thought they were doing you a favour by removing them. They were right.

You mean overboost as in the feature that the Performance cars come with from factory? If so, I think overboost is lost when you get a remap.

Yes - proper chance on Sunday night - leaving South Manchester mid evening and arriving in SW Wales some 210 miles later, in 210 minutes! Although some early miles are M'way (with usual Sunday evening traffic), the bulk of the route is a mix of twisty A and B roads with Google throwing in a few miles of back lanes to get round an obstruction on the main road!

Main observation is that the mid-range torque is off the scale, which means exit from bends, and/or overtaking, is extremely quick! It really is amazingly quick down the straights, and the ceramics never felt anything other than solid into the bends.

It is still a 2 tonne barge through the twisties, though to be honest I never got close to the limit mainly because I needed to take care of my passenger too! I did "play" with a Golf GTi for a while, but he was a young lad without a passenger so I eventually let him go through the twisties as my pax was complaining.

Only "weakness" in the system is the lights. They have plenty of lateral light through bends, but the beam lacks vertical depth, so coming over blind crests, and to an extent in dips too, there is a distinct lack of light to tell you where the road goes! In the old days I'd have added a big spot bar and some proper illumination - these days I think that would spoil the look!

Overall the car is now just brilliant, and I suspect is more capable than the driver! :notworthy:
